Breathwork is a broad term, so it is important to determine in advance what specifically you want to work on. With me, you can choose from two different types of sessions, depending on your needs. Sometimes a hands-on approach is most effective, where I analyze your breathing, perform various tests and give you targeted advice and exercises. In other cases, an in-depth session with bodywork may be most beneficial.

Multi disciplinary Breath Coach
Over the years I have developed into an increasingly complete breath coach, with a valuable combination of in-depth knowledge of breathing and bodywork. In addition, I bring the experience and ability to create an environment where people feel free to discover new parts of themselves, at a pace and in a way that suits them.
In my sessions I do not use a fixed technique or method. I tune in to what you need most at that moment for your personal growth.
Breath assessment - Together we look at how functional your way of breathing is.
Bodywork - With focused touch, we increase your body awareness and assist the breath in creating space and releasing tension.
Therapeutic breathwork - During a session, unconscious emotions such as sadness, fear or anger may surface, dissolving blockages that you may not even have been aware of.
Applicable Strategic Interventions - You will be given breathwork tools to take home to be able to improve the quality of your life.
Why breath coaching
We breathe about 20,000 times a day, often without thinking about it. However, it is valuable to regularly pay conscious attention to this, as breathing has a significant impact on both your physical and mental health and is an effective remedy for stress. By consciously engaging with your breath, you lower your heart rate and blood pressure and get in touch with your body and therefore your feelings in a deeper way.
Many people with stress symptoms have rapid, shallow breathing. During breathing sessions, the nervous system calms down, allowing you to truly relax. As a breath coach, I help you breathe deeper and fuller, leading to positive effects on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. This reconnects you with yourself and therefore the world around you.
What does a session look like?
1. Preliminary interview
I receive you in my practice in The Hague within walking distance of forest, dunes, beach and sea. In a conversation we discuss what your needs are for this session. What goal do you want to achieve with breath work? Do you have specific breathing problems, such as asthma or chronic hyperventilation, and are you looking for practical help? Do you want to experience less stress and tension symptoms, sleep better or break through emotional blockages? Do you want to release obstructive patterns or improve your physical performance and fitness? Or are you just curious? With this we determine the approach of the further session.
2. Session
You may sit or lie down and we begin with exercises to get you in touch with your body and breathing. I guide you in breathing to different places in your body, using bodywork to further open your body to your breathing. This allows the breath to flow more freely through your body, bringing movement to places where stress, emotions or discomfort are stuck. Sometimes suppressed feelings of pleasure, love or enjoyment also surface. Depending on the session, the breath intensity varies, with me using pressure points or inviting sound to create movement and space. During the session you may experience tingling, energy flow, clear insights and a growing sense of freedom and breathing space.
3. Integration
We gradually allow breathing to return to a natural rhythm, after which the session moves into a resting phase. During this phase, the body can relax and integrate everything, accompanied by pleasant music.
4. Afterword
We spend some time together in silence or talking about your experience. It may be that I give you exercises based on the session that you can work with yourself. A few days after the session I will check in with you to see how you are doing.
