The perfect
breathing circle
Join us in the breathing circle as we would like to receive it ourselves....
I guide the circles together with my life partner Janneke. Together we bring nearly two decades of experience in breathwork, meditations, ceremony and bodywork.
In recent years we have had the opportunity to lead many breath sessions, circles and ceremonies. From intimate 1 on 1, to 10 people in a circle and even 90 people at the same time in huge churches in Amsterdam.
In our space in The Hague, we now have the opportunity to really apply all our knowledge and experience to just that: to establish the perfect Breath Circle.
The power of a breathing circle
In a breathing circle, we breathe in a group of 4-7 people during a 3-hour session, with 2 experienced and certified bodyworkers. This collective breathing supports and strengthens everyone's unique process, creating a sense of interconnectedness. During this breathing circle we use different forms of breathwork, with the power of group sessions bringing a different energy than individual sessions. Breathwork helps you move through emotional and mental tensions. Furthermore, new breathing areas are accessed and discovered. Common statements after a breath circle are: I feel clear, connected, centered, relaxed, loving, joyful, grounded. A breath circle can also be seen as an introductory workshop with the breath.

Nick
Mewis made me feel, in a particularly fine way, that he was watching over me and my process in such a way that I could completely surrender to what was happening in and with me. I felt completely trusted with, and carried by his "being. He gives you his welcome completely.
Mewis exudes calmness, warmth and knowledge. He listens and "sees" you with a friendly and warm smile. A true facilitator.

I recently had the profound privilege of experiencing a breathwork microdosing ceremony with psilocybin under the expert guidance of Mewis Koeman.
From the start, Mewis created a deep sense of rapport and trust, making me feel safe and supported. His keen intuition and extensive knowledge were evident as he seamlessly read both my emotional and physical states throughout the session. Mewis made assertive interventions precisely when needed, which significantly enhanced the effectiveness of the breathwork and the overall experience. His presence was calming and supportive, allowing me to delve deeper into the process with confidence and ease.
Mewis's unparalleled care and attention made the journey transformative and healing. I wholeheartedly recommend him as a knowledgeable and empathetic guide.

Description goes hereI hoped that through this breathing session I would be able to access my emotions better, or let them go, and under the guidance of Janneke & Mewis, I was able to fulfill that intention.
The experience felt like trauma processing where tears were finally allowed to flow and tension was released from my body. Words do not do the experience justice. It is so special and at the same time this should be common knowledge.
What to expect
We welcome you in our warm group room in The Hague, within walking distance of forest, dunes, beach and sea. There is a mattress, pillow and blanket ready for each participant.
We often start with a guided meditation and/or active movement exercise. Through this you become aware of your present experience.
We invite everyone, following the meditation, to formulate an intention. This is a sentence or word that clearly articulates your need. So what you want to breathe for. This gives your mental system direction during the session.
Explanation and demonstration of the connected breathing technique.
We will breathe, lying on a soft surface. There is carefully selected music to support your journey. The coaches guide the breath through voice and gentle touch (if agreed to in advance). This gives your body suggestions where there is tension that can be released or where the breath is not coming. As a result, the breath comes into new places in the body during the session and the diaphragm relaxes. This releases mental and emotional blockages and opens new breathing areas. Through which you gain insight into your core of light, love and joy.
Integration and relaxation. In this phase, the energy you have generated from active connected breathing comes to rest. Integration takes place as you surrender and trust the process. You receive and do not need to do anything else.
We wrap up by exchanging and having another drink together.

About Mewis and Janneke
Breath circles I teach together with my life partner Janneke. Together we did the training to become a breath coach in 2022. I experience Janneke's energy as a rare embodiment of feminine warmth, gentleness, tranquility and above all a lot of "earth". In addition, Janneke is a fantastic musician with an enormous amount of experience in leading ceremonies. These qualities make it possible for me to embody my own more masculine energy without having to worry about balance. Janneke is my balance and it is my intention to be that together for the attendees.

This can be different for everyone. The energy of the group can be powerful which can help participants explore new parts and states of being. Others, on the other hand, find this too intense and feel better and safer with more personal attention. If you prefer to try it alone first, you are welcome for a 1-on-1 session.

You will receive an email with details after registration. The preparation is minimal. It is especially important to have an open mind. Provide comfortable clothing, do not have a heavy meal right before the session and avoid alcohol and caffeine
-
Wear loose, comfortable clothing in which you can move freely. The most important thing is that you feel relaxed during the session. We make sure the temperature in the room is warm. So wrapping yourself up thickly is not necessary and makes bodywork somewhat difficult.
